EverHint Signal — SMA20 × SMA50 Crossover - November 12, 2025
November 12, 2025
What this signal is (quick)
We’re testing a momentum crossover: the 20-day Simple Moving Average (SMA20) moving above or below the 50-day Simple Moving Average (SMA50).
- SMA20 > SMA50 → “Buy” – short-term trend overtakes medium trend (early bullish inflection)
- SMA20 < SMA50 → “Sell” – short-term trend rolls under (early weakness flag)
Simple averages react slower than EMAs, so this setup filters some noise but can still whipsaw in sideways markets.
Today’s signals use end-of-day data for November 12, 2025, and this scanner remains experimental while we refine performance tracking.

Field notes: Down-cross = caution flag — short-term momentum rolling over. Consider RSI > 50 persistence on buys or < 40 persistence on sells before acting.
Carlo’s Take (EverHint)
The 20/50 SMA is slower than EMA-based crosses, but today’s buys skew toward Financials (HSBC, CINF, CB, SYF, VLY, BANC) with Healthcare/Tech pockets (STE, QLYS). On the sell side, cyclicals and select tech (WDAY, SMCI) show momentum fatigue. I’d add only after 2–3 closes above/below the band and size with ATR-aware stops; trim into strength (>70 RSI) and respect nearby swing levels.
